What Others Are Saying About the Continuing Covenant Message
The first time Ken and I crossed paths, whilst only during a brief few days, it was life changing for me. A bond that can best be describe as like that of brothers was created from the moment we met. As soon as I met him, it felt like God had sent me a guardian angel. Both Ken and his wife showed strength and compassion to me and there was a deep, profound and mutual essence in the bond created.
In our fellowship we broke bread together which brough healing and forgiveness into my life. I feel that God brought us together at a time when we needed each other. Ken is a wonderful man, strong, loving, committed and he shines with Gods love. I'm really pleased that I can call him my friend, it's a great honor to know him.

I first met Ken during the pandemic when he stopped by my restaurant for takeout. Our conversation quickly turned from music to faith-and I knew this meeting was no accident, but a divine connection. As he spoke about God's calling on his life, I sensed something genuine-faith alive and real.
Today, Ken is my mentor and friend, guiding me patiently through Scripture and life. His humility, wisdom, and unwavering faith reveal the power of a life fully surrendered to God. His faith and friendship continue to remind me that every encounter has purpose when God is at the center.

"Give me your life, and I will make an example of it."
These words, often spoken by K. Stokes in our many conversations, have left an enduring impression on me. His unwavering faith and steadfast trust in God are deeply etched into my memory, shaping the way I view devotion and perseverance.
Throughout the years, I have witnessed remarkable instances in his life that can only be described as the work of God.
For the past fifteen years, Ken has served as both an example and an inspiration to me. His guidance Has carried significant weight, particularly during times when clarity felt distant. His life stands as a testament to what God can accomplish through one who is willing to follow, and it is an honor to contribute these reflections to his work

An Eye-Witness Testimony from
Sheila Smalls-Stokes
For thirty years, I have witnessed God do amazing works in Ken’s life. I have had a front row seat to God’s directive to Ken: “Give me your life and I will make an example of you”.
When Ken came home one evening in 1999, confused and frightened by this directive, we did not know how much of a blessing it would be; yes, along with trials and tribulations, it would take us through. Through the teachings of the Lord and learning to lean on Him completely, Ken has finally gotten to the point of entirely giving his life to the Lord.
Oh, it definitely was not easy. At first, Ken thought it meant “work harder” so I can show others what I can do. He worked hard at building a business, but was actually giving all of himself to the company, rather than to God. He was amazing at his craft, but God had not sanctioned it. Thus, it was not as successful as it could have been, given the time, money, and effort he invested in it. It was very disheartening when he realized he had to close his business, but only after Ken realized this was not what God wanted from him. Ken eventually shared with me that he was actually running from what God wanted him to become.
Ken struggled with the word “example”, thinking it was something he had to do, to control, to show others. God led Ken to do something different in a way he did not feel was possible or timely. He thought about returning to school to hone his skills in his counselling vocation. However, around the same time, he read a book by Oral Roberts, which catalyzed him to enroll in Oral Roberts University. Along the way, God continued to guide him. See, when Ken finally let go of trying to control his destiny through his own strength, success became evident. While in school, classmates, as well as advisors and professors, provided a mirror-like reflection of Ken’s guidance by the Holy Spirit. He was a glowing example to others through papers and projects geared toward helping the pastorate. Ken developed a deep yearning to help God’s shepherds. He was very successful in his journey from college to doctoral studies. Even through very trying times of significant health issues and losing multiple primary family members, Ken was an example at times of the depths of his despair.
Observing God’s hands on Ken’s mind, body, and soul in his growth over the years has been astounding. The Holy Spirit has given Ken tremendous gifts to share with others. The gift of drawing became apparent years ago. Ken is very creative, and when he allows the spirit to guide his hands, exceptional work is the result. I have even said to Ken that if I had not actually seen him do it, I would not have believed it. The intricacies of his drawings are so exacting for someone without any formal training that they are almost unbelievable.
The gift of writing has evolved since Ken’s college days. He could notably make others see and feel what he is writing. However, the practice of praying (on his face) before each time he sits to write has resulted in the quality of work beyond him. Ken has a way of reaching deep into your soul with his words, which I know is only through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I know, without a doubt, God has each of our best interests at heart. With this statement, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13), I know God is there, providing just at the right time of our need. Ken has come to realize that when God makes an example of you, it is not by your works, but by His grace. All one has to say is, “Lord, here I am.” This serves as my testimony, because God chose me to be there. Prayerfully, as did I, others will see the hand of God continually guiding Ken’s life and works. And Ken continues to be God's example to others.
His loving wife and eyewitness to the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
